North East
Pineridge
This northeastern neighbourhood of Calgary is bordered by 32 Ave NE to the North, 52nd Street N.E. to the West, 16th Avenue N.E. to the South, and 68th Streed N.E. to the East.
Whitehorn
Whitehorn is bound by McKnight Boulevard to the north, 52 Street E to the east, 32 Avenue N to the south and 36 Street E to the west. The Peter Lougheed Centre is located south-west from the neighbourhood. Annexed in 1961, this community was established in 1973.
Rundle
This neighbourhood in the north-east quadrant of Calgary is bound by 32 Avenue N to the north, the Trans-Canada Highway to the south, 52 Street E to the east and 36 Street E to the west. The Sunridge Mall is located immediately west of the neighbourhood and forms a major shopping attraction of the area.
Marlborough
This residential neighbourhood of the North East is bound by the Trans-Canada Highway to the north, 52 Street E to the east, Memorial Drive to the south and 36 Street E to the west. Established in 1967, Marlborough has developed into a predominantly low density residential neighbourhood with many townhome condos and apartments.
The community is served by the Marlborough station of the C-Train LRT system, and Marlborough Mall located in the south-west corner of the neighbourhood. This neighbourhood is relatively close to the Calgary airport.
Marlborough Park
Marlbrough Park is located east of 52nd and west of 68th Street in the north east quadrant of the city. This neighbourhood was developed during the 1970s. All the streets in these communities start with "Ma." The community is primarily low density residential with a mix of single family homes, townhomes, and low-rise rental apartments. The community is serviced by the Marlborough LRT station on the Northeast leg. The community is readily accessible to the rest of the city via either Memorial Drive or 16th Avenue, and is relatively close to the city's airport.
Saddle Ridge
Saddle Ridge is a residential neighbourhood in the north-east quadrant of Calgary. It is located at the north-eastern edge of the city, and it is bound to the north by 96 Avenue N, to the east by 68 Street E, to the south by McKnight Boulevard and to the west by 36 Street E. The Calgary International Airport is located west of the neighbourhood.
The community initially consisted of acreages, with an active community association since the 1970’s. In the late 1990s, Urbanization of the region began in the late 1990’s and today Saddle Ridge primarily refers to the urban community that has developed around the commercial hub formed by Saddletowne Circle.
Country Hills
A new neighborhood of north east Calgary, Country Hills is located on the north side of Beddington Trail and to the south of Country Hill Boulevard. This neighbourhood is close to the airport and to the major #2 highway to the north. Country Hills Boulevard gives it fast access to the Trans-Canada Highway. Residents of Country Hills have easy access to the Country Hills Golf Course, Confluence Park, and the Nose Creek recreational pathway.
Starting in the 1990’s, homes in Coventry Park are built by Excel and Centrex.
This community are well-served by the #301 Bus Rapid Transit express line, and also have transit connections to Calgary International Airport.
Coventry Hills
Established in 1991, Coventryu Hills is located at the northern edge of the city, and is bound by Stoney Trail to the north, Deerfoot Trail and the Nose Creek to the east, Counrty Hills Boulevard to the south and Harvest Hills Boulevard to the west. The Harvest Hills golf course borders the community to the south.
Coventry Hills provides a choice of prices and styles from some of Calgary’s best new home builders, as well as quality resale homes and condos.
Harvest Hills
Established in 1990, Harvest Hills is a residential neighbourhood in the north-east quadrant of Calgary. It is bound by Deerfoot Trail to the east, Beddington Trail to the south, Country Hills Boulevard to the north and Harvest Hills Boulevard to the west. The community contains a lake and Harvest Hills golf course is located in the north-east corner, in the Nose Creek valley.
Harvest Hills has become a desirable family community. One of Calgary's most affordable golf course communities, Harvest Hills has excellent access to shopping, Deerfoot Trail, and the Calgary International Airport.
Tara Vista
A new neighbourhood in the north east quadrant of the city, Terra Vista offers affordable housing solutions with houses starting at $300,000 and above. Residents here enjoy easy access to public transit, recreation facilities, and shopping outlets.
Monterey Park
Monterey Park is a residential neighbourhood in the north-east quadrant of Calgary. It is located at the eastern edge of the city, and is bound by McKnight Boulevard to the north, 68 Street E to the west, Trans-Canada Highway to the south and 84 Street East to the east.
Monterey Park was established in 1985. It was named for the city of Monterey Park, California, and the neighbourhood has a California theme (such as street names and building styles).
Temple
This residential neighbourhood in the north-east quadrant of Calgary is bound to the north by McKnight Boulevard, to the east by 68 Street E, to the south by 32 Avenue N and to the west by 52 Street E. All streets here begin with “Temple” and this neighbourhood is serviced by the Whitehorn LRT station on the Northeast leg. The community is primarily low density residential with a mix of single family homes, townhomes, and low-rise rental apartments.
