Downtown Core

Westend
: Bordered by the Bow River to the north, 9th Street SW to the east, 9th Street SW to the south, and 14th Street SW to the west, the amenities of Downtown West include the Bow River pathway system, Millennium Park, and the Alberta Science Centre and Planetarium.

Eau Claire: With its magnificent natural as well as urban setting, Eau Claire is located immediately north of Downtown and south of the Bow River.  A mix if riverside condominiums, shopping, restaurants, hotels, a large public plaza and urban parkland make Eau Claire one of Calgary’s most popular areas.

Connaught: Boasts specialty shopping, boutiques, cafes, restaurants and entertainment facilities located along 17 Avenue S.W., known as “Uptown 17”.

Victoria Park: Nestled between the railway tracks and the Stampede grounds, Victoria Park is now over 100 years old and played a significant role in Calgary’s historical development.  The neighborhood still possesses many of the early four-square residential plans with high Victorian detail, significant examples of row housing and storefront variations.

Inglewood: East of the Elbow river, Inglewood is vibrant with many decorator’s boutiques and antique stores.  This area boasts to be Calgary’s oldest community and was the population Centre before the CPR station was built at Palliser Square.
